About James

His adventure starts with the creation of the Wetfish ensemble (1996-2002), with whom he revisits all the classics of silent movies.

Inspired by the experience, he multiplies collaborations and exchanges with industry professionals and, with his endearing personality James managed to open many doors for himself.

His portfolio of short films and documentaries featuring his music counts over 50 titles to this day.

He is playing with the Globe-Glotters ensemble, for which he is composing electro acoustic pieces.

James Duhamel has earned his undergraduate degree at University of Montreal with Jean Piché and Robert Normandeau.

His sound signature can be lyrical and chaos-driven while being more enigmatic at times; he is inspired by musical landscapes and creates mixed or electro acoustic pieces.

In conjunction with his composition activities, he has also signed the sound conception and mixing of many documentaries and television series.
